About Iris Rocketry

Iris Rocketry is a group of 5th graders which was created by the same group under the name of the "NERDS" or Nerdy Engineers Revolutionize and Do Science. The name Iris was created by Dean Gill, as in the Greek god, however I am now using it as the part of the eye representing sight, in the form of finding out about the upper atmosphere and looking at it. Iris Rocketry does not aim to go to space (as we currently do not have the materials) but designs high atmospheric rockets, and hope to build Iris 1, (see "Sponsor Us" for more information) which is still in the design phase. We will notify you about when Iris 1 will launch, what developments come up, and contests you can participate in to get your name on it on the weather balloon we are going to leave up there.
